In Excel out-of-the-box, you can select multiple worksheets and hide them with a single click. However, if you have a workbook with multiple hidden sheets there is no easy way to unhide all of the sheets. By default, you need to unhide each sheet individually. On a workbook with many hidden worksheets that can be a drag. Until now.
Unhide All Excel Worksheets With a Single Click
With the Office PowerUps (OPU) Workbook Tools for Excel you can unhide all of the hidden sheets in a workbook with a single click. This is super useful when you are sent a workbook with many hidden sheets that you need to look thru.
I’ve had to do this countless times as I’m sure you have too. You get a workbook from somebody and you find yourself, one-by-one, unhiding sheets looking for a table or trying to understand how the workbook is put together. This gets really time consuming when there are many sheets to look thru. It would be so much easier to see all of the sheets at once.
Unhide All Sheets in a single click with the tool in the PowerUps ribbon, or right-click on one of the worksheet tabs and you can Unhide All Sheets from the context menu that comes up.
Rehide All Excel Worksheets With a Single Click
Once you’ve gone thru and unhidden many or all of the sheets it’s really easy to forget which sheets were hidden (often times for good reason) and which sheets were visible. If you have made any changes and you need to save your work you’ll wind up saving the set of visible worksheets as you’ve left it.
OPU Workbook Tools for Excel has a better way. Unhide All Sheets to see all the worksheets with a single click. When you are done looking thru the previously hidden sheets, you can Rehide Sheets and all of the previously hidden sheets will be hidden with a single click too.
And just like with the Unhide All Sheets tool, the Rehide Sheets tool is available from the worksheet context menu when you right-click on a worksheet tab.
