Get Excel 2013’s new functions added to your current version of Excel

Excel 2013 introduced 50 new worksheet functions. Excel PowerUps adds all 50 of the functions by installing a custom add-in for Excel. The Excel PowerUps work with the available 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Excel (2003, 2007, 2010, and even 2013). Excel 2013 not required!

Custom add-in function list (Excel 2013 New Functions)

In the listing below you can see the name of the Excel 2013 function (in ALL CAPS). The name of the corresponding Excel PowerUp function is in bold letters, and is prefixed by the letters “pwr” in Excel 2013. In other versions of Excel the function names are the same as Excel 2013.

  1. ACOT – returns the arccotangent of a number
  2. ACOTH – returns the hyperbolic arccotangent of a number
  3. ARABIC – converts a Roman numeral to an equivalent decimal number
  4. BASE – converts a number into the text representation of the same number with a given radix (base) value
  5. BINOM.DIST.RANGE – returns the probability of a trial result using a binomial distribution function
  6. BITAND – returns a bitwise AND of two numbers
  7. BITLSHIFT – returns a value number shifted left by a given number of bits
  8. BITOR – returns a bitwise OR of two numbers
  9. BITRSHIFT – returns a value number shifted right by a given number of bits
  10. BITXOR – returns a bitwise XOR (exclusive OR) of two numbers
  11. CEILING.MATH – rounds a number up, to the nearest integer or to the nearest multiple of significance
  12. COMBINA – returns the number of combinations with repetitions for a given number of items
  13. COT – returns the cotangent of a number
  14. COTH – returns the hyperbolic cotangent of a number
  15. CSC – returns the cosecant of a number
  16. CSCH – returns the hyperbolic cosecant of an angle
  17. DAYS – returns the number of days between two dates
  18. DECIMAL – converts a text representation of a number in a given base into a decimal number
  19. ENCODEURL – returns a URL-encoded string
  20. FILTERXML – returns specific data from the XML content by using the specified XPath
  21. FLOOR.MATH – rounds a number down, to the nearest integer or to the nearest multiple of significance
  22. FORMULATEXT – returns the formula at the given reference
  23. GAMMA – returns the Gamma function value
  24. GAUSS – returns the value of the standard normal deviation
  25. IFNA – returns the value you specify if the expression resolves to “#N/A” otherwise the value of the expression is returned
  26. IMCOSH  – returns the hyperbolic cosine of a complex number
  27. IMCOT – returns the cotangent of a complex number
  28. IMCSC  – returns the cosecant of a complex number
  29. IMCSCH – returns the hyperbolic cosecant of a complex number
  30. IMSEC – returns the secant of a complex number
  31. IMSECH – returns the hyperbolic secant of a complex number
  32. IMSINH – returns the hyperbolic sine of a complex number
  33. IMTAN – returns the tangent of a complex number
  34. ISFORMULA – returns TRUE if there is a reference to a cell that contains a formula
  35. ISOWEEKNUM – returns the number of the ISO week number of the year for the given date
  36. MUNIT – returns the unit matrix of the specified dimension
  37. NUMBERVALUE – converts text to number in a locale-independent manner
  38. PDURATION – returns the number of periods required for an investment to reach a certain value
  39. PERMUTATION – returns the number of permutations for a given number of objects (with repetitions) that can be selected from the total objects
  40. PHI – returns the value of the density function for a standard normal distribution
  41. RRI – returns an equivalent interest rate for the growth of an investment
  42. SEC – returns the secant of an angle
  43. SECH – returns the hyperbolic secant of an angle
  44. SHEET – returns the number of the current sheet
  45. SHEETS – returns the number of sheets in a reference (3D references not supported)
  46. SKEW.P – returns the skew value
  47. UNICHAR – returns the Unicode character that is referenced by the given numeric value
  48. UNICODE – returns the number (code point) that corresponds to the first character of the text
  49. WEBSERVICE – returns the data from the webservice
  50. XOR – returns a logical exclusive OR of all the arguments
