Choose the edition that matches your version of Excel. It doesn’t matter whether you have the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Windows. Just match the version of Excel you have. If you’re not sure which version of Excel you have, you can see it in the About box of Excel.
The x86 version supports the 32-bit versions of Excel 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016 running on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
Choose the 32-bit version if you have a 32-bit version of Excel, even if you have a 64-bit version of Windows.
The x64 version supports the 64-bit versions of Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016 running on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
